What spa options are available for hotel guests and external guests at the Valsana Spa?
Access to the Valsana Spa is included in the room rate for hotel guests. Private sessions and spa treatments are charged separately.
External guests can enjoy three hours of access to the Valsana Spa for CHF 60 per person. Spa access is complimentary when booking a massage.
A 10-visit spa pass is also available for CHF 500, as well as combined access to the spa and fitness centre for CHF 65 per person.
What are the opening hours of the Valsana Spa?
The different areas of the Valsana Spa are open as follows:
- Pool: 07.00 h to 20.00 h
- Sauna and relaxation room: 14.00 h to 20.00 h, depending on the weather from 12.00 h
- Fitness centre: open 24 hours a day
- Yoga room: accessible 24 hours a day, except during Moving Mountains yoga classes and privately booked yoga sessions
- Spa treatments: subject to therapist availability
Which fitness and yoga options are available for hotel guests and external guests?
The fitness centre at the Valsana Hotel is equipped with modern Technogym equipment and is open 24 hours a day. The yoga room is also accessible around the clock, except during Moving Mountains yoga classes and privately booked yoga sessions.
Group yoga classes are complimentary for hotel guests. Private sessions are charged separately.
The following fitness and yoga options are available for external guests:
- Single fitness entry: CHF 30
- 10-visit fitness pass: CHF 200
- Summer fitness membership: CHF 450 including 10 hours of group yoga
- Winter fitness membership: CHF 550 including 10 hours of group yoga
- Annual fitness membership: CHF 900 including 20 hours of group yoga

Which pool, sauna and relaxation facilities are available at the Valsana Spa?
The indoor pool at the Valsana Spa measures 11.50 metres in length, 3.35 metres in width and 1.40 metres in depth. The water temperature is 31 °C.
The sauna area includes a Finnish sauna at 90 °C, a bio sauna at 60 °C and a steam bath at 45 °C. There is also a cold Kneipp foot bath at 15 °C and a warm Kneipp foot bath at 31 °C.
A relaxation room with a balcony and south-facing views provides space to unwind. During the summer, outdoor loungers are also available. Sauna infusions are offered in winter, while no infusions take place during the summer.
There is no separate ladies' spa area, although a dedicated ladies' changing room is available.

What age restrictions apply at the Valsana Spa?
The following age restrictions apply to the different areas of the Valsana Spa:
- Pool: guests up to the age of 16 must be accompanied by their parents
- Sauna: from the age of 12 when accompanied by a parent, and independently from the age of 16
- Fitness centre: from the age of 12 when accompanied by a parent, and independently from the age of 16
What spa etiquette applies at the Valsana Spa?
The Valsana Spa is a place of peace, privacy and relaxation. We therefore kindly ask you to keep your mobile phone on silent during your stay and to take telephone calls outside the spa area.
To protect the privacy of all guests, photography and filming are not permitted anywhere in the spa. You are, of course, welcome to use your device to read a digital newspaper or e-book. Please use headphones for any audio content and ensure that the use of your device does not disturb other guests.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the spa area or on the pool and sauna terraces. Please shower before using the pool. Jumping or diving into the pool is not permitted, and loungers left unused are made available to other guests after 20 minutes.
Appropriate swimwear is required in the pool area. Burkinis made from synthetic materials specifically designed for swimming are permitted.
The sauna is a textile-free zone. Towels may, of course, be used, but clothing is not worn in the sauna.
Can the Valsana Spa be booked exclusively as a Private Spa?
The entire Valsana Spa can be booked exclusively as a Private Spa from 20.30 h.
The booking includes two hours for two guests and costs CHF 380. Each additional guest is charged CHF 30. A 37.5 cl bottle of Louis Roederer Collection 245 Champagne is included.
How accessible is the Valsana Spa for guests with reduced mobility?
The different areas of the Valsana Spa are generally accessible by wheelchair.
There is no ramp providing wheelchair access into the pool, and wheelchairs cannot be taken into the saunas for hygiene reasons.
