A Tschuggen Collection Hotel
As part of the family-owned, Green Globe-certified Tschuggen Collection, since 2019 the Valsana Hotel measured its greenhouse gas emissions, continuously implemented measures to reduce them and compensated unavoidable residual emissions through certified climate protection projects. In addition, ongoing investments are made to further improve the energy efficiency and performance of the hotels' infrastructure.
Climate Protection and Resource Efficiency in Practice
A responsible approach to resource management is an integral part of daily operations at the hotel. This is reflected throughout the entire guest journey and value chain, from resource-conscious procurement and waste management measures to an innovative energy concept underpinning the building infrastructure.
Because Innovation Can Be Cool
At the heart of the hotel's energy concept is its own thermal ice storage system. Working in combination with geothermal energy and heat recovery technology, it provides heating and cooling for all three buildings while avoiding the use of fossil fuels for heating. Guests interested in learning more about the system are invited to join one of our Green Tours for a behind-the-scenes look at the technology and how it works.
