Which options are available for external guests at the Tschuggen Bergoase?
The Tschuggen Bergoase at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa is open to external guests by prior reservation and subject to availability.
Depending on the season, various day spa options are available, including Day Spa Deluxe, Spa & Lunch, Summer Wellness and Adults Only Sundowner. Spa access includes use of the pool area, fitness centre, sauna and steam bath facilities and relaxation rooms. Bathrobes, towels, slippers, refreshments and fruit are also provided. Participation in the aqua fitness classes offered is included as well.
For guests wishing to visit the Tschuggen Bergoase regularly, summer, winter and combined summer & winter memberships are also available.

Opening hours at the Tschuggen Bergoase at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa vary depending on the season:
Pool area: 07.00 h to 20.00 h, until 21.00 h in winter
Sauna and steam bath area: 11.00 h to 20.00 h, until 21.00 h in winter
Fitness centre: open 24 hours a day for hotel guests
Spa reception: 8.30 h to 20.00 h, until 21.00 h in winter
Treatments and hair salon: 10.00 h to 20.00 h
Which pools and water facilities are available at the Tschuggen Bergoase?
The pool area at the Tschuggen Bergoase at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa features a range of indoor and outdoor pools for swimming and relaxation:
- Indoor leisure pool: 10 × 15 metres, 34 °C, 140 cm deep
- Outdoor leisure pool: 9 × 6.5 metres, 34 °C, 140 cm deep
- Fitness pool/indoor pool: 15 × 5.5 metres, 28 °C, between 140 and 180 cm deep
- Children's pool: 4.5 × 4 metres, 34 °C, 45 cm deep
- Warm Kneipp pool: 34 °C
- Cold Kneipp pool: 14 °C
The warm indoor leisure pool also features a hydropool and various whirlpool attractions. The pool area is complemented by an experience grotto with a waterfall.
Which saunas and relaxation areas are available at the Tschuggen Bergoase?
The sauna facilities at the Tschuggen Bergoase include a mixed area as well as a separate ladies' area.
The mixed area features a Bergsauna at 90 °C, a steam bath at 45 °C, a sanarium at 60 °C and a cold plunge at 14 °C.
The separate ladies' area features a steam bath at 45 °C and a sanarium at 60 °C.
Relaxation and lounge areas are also available. Daily sauna infusions are offered in the Bergsauna: twice a day in summer and three times a day in winter.
Which fitness and training facilities are available at the Tschuggen Bergoase?
The Tschuggen Bergoase fitness centre offers a wide range of options for cardio, strength and functional training. Much of the equipment is supplied by Technogym.
Facilities include treadmills, a cross trainer, fitness and indoor bikes, a rowing machine, multifunctional strength equipment, a Smith machine, a Kinesis system, training benches, dumbbells, kettlebells, functional training balls, TRX and various machines for leg, shoulder and upper-body training.
Dedicated areas for yoga, gymnastics and meditation are also available. The Tschuggen Grand Hotel also offers a varied sports programme with workouts, yoga sessions and fitness classes.
Private yoga, fitness and outdoor training sessions can be tailored to individual fitness levels and training goals.
From November 2026, three Vela Reformers with an online studio and screen will complement the fitness facilities.

Which massages, spa and beauty treatments are available at the Tschuggen Bergoase?
The Moving Mountains Spa offering at the Tschuggen Bergoase includes holistic and revitalising massages, body treatments, beauty services, nail treatments and hairdressing services.
Treatments combine personalised relaxation and regeneration with the holistic Moving Mountains Spa concept.

If your preferred treatment is not listed, the spa team will be happy to arrange a personalised treatment whenever possible.
Which spa treatments are available for children and teenagers?
The Tschuggen Bergoase offers selected treatments specifically for children and teenagers:
- Express manicure with nail polish: 30 minutes for children aged 6 to 10 – CHF 65
- Express manicure with nail polish: 50 minutes for children and teenagers aged 11 to 16 – CHF 85
- Children's relaxation massage: 25 minutes plus a 10-minute introduction for children and teenagers aged 6 to 16 – CHF 90
- Hair salon – wash and blow-dry: for boys and girls from CHF 30
Children's relaxation massages can, on request, be booked at the same time as a massage for a parent in the couples' room.
A parent or legal guardian must remain in the room throughout children's treatments.
What should I know about booking or cancelling a spa treatment?
We recommend booking your preferred treatment in advance.
Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time to relax and inform our team of any health concerns or individual requirements.
If you arrive late, your treatment may need to be shortened if the treatment room or therapist is booked immediately afterwards.
Please inform us of any changes or cancellations at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made later than this, as well as no-shows, will be charged at the full treatment price.
What age restrictions apply at the Tschuggen Bergoase?
Children staying at the hotel are welcome in the pool area of the Tschuggen Bergoase.
From 18.00 h, the spa becomes Adults Only and is reserved exclusively for guests aged 14 and over.
The sauna and steam bath area has a minimum age of 16 throughout the day.
Guests aged 16 and over may use the fitness centre independently. Children and teenagers aged 12 and over may use the fitness centre only when accompanied by an adult.
What should I consider if I have a health condition or am pregnant?
Please inform the spa team at the time of booking if you are pregnant, have recently undergone surgery or have any health conditions such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular conditions or allergies.
This allows the team to provide personalised advice and recommend suitable treatments.
Depending on the treatment and following appropriate consultation, treatments may be available to pregnant guests. Please contact the spa team for personalised advice.
What etiquette and rules apply at the Tschuggen Bergoase?
The Tschuggen Bergoase is a place of tranquillity, privacy and complete relaxation. We therefore kindly ask you to keep your mobile phone on silent during your stay and to take telephone calls outside the spa area.
To protect the privacy of all guests, photography and filming are not permitted anywhere in the spa.
You are, of course, welcome to use your device to read a digital newspaper or e-book. Please use headphones for any audio content and ensure that the use of your device does not disturb the tranquillity of other guests.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the spa area or on the pool and sauna terraces.
Please shower before using the pools. Jumping or diving into the pools is not permitted. Loungers left unused are made available to other guests after 20 minutes.
Appropriate swimwear is required in the pool area. Burkinis made from synthetic materials specifically designed for swimming are permitted.

For a private wellness experience, the Tschuggen Bergoase offers the Spa Suite Muscida and the Spa Suite Polaris.
The Private Spa Suites feature their own wellness area with a whirlpool bath, steam bath and sauna. Depending on the selected arrangement, additional services such as personalised massages, Champagne, refreshments and culinary treats may be included.

The Dream Butler Experience is a personalised evening ritual at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel designed to support a restful night's sleep.
The experience begins at the Tschuggen Bergoase with a soothing foot bath followed by a relaxing aromatherapy oil massage.
While you relax at the spa, the Dream Butler prepares your hotel room for the night, adjusting elements such as humidity, lighting and room temperature. A pillow menu and other carefully selected touches complement the bedtime routine.
A light, easily digestible meal and a suitable selection of teas complete the experience.
