Swiss National Day at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel blends alpine summer atmosphere with living tradition – warm, generous, and full of flavour.

On the eve of the National Day, we ease into the festivities: an aperitif at the bar, followed by an evening in the Grand Restaurant, accompanied by musical accents.
From 19.00 h, enjoy a menu of Swiss specialities and fondue in the Grand Restaurant, rounded off with a Swiss chocolate buffet.
1 August 2026
From 18.00 h, the National Day begins in classic Swiss style: an aperitif in the hotel driveway, where Bernese Mountain Dogs, alphorn players and flag throwers bring tradition to life.
From 19.00 h, the farmers’ market opens: market stands with regional specialities, local offerings and a wine stand with Swiss wines invite you to browse, taste and linger.
As the sun sets, at around 21.00 h, the Tschuggen Express takes you up to the viewing platform, where the bonfire lights up the sky above Arosa. Those who wish can round off the moment with a torchlight hike back to the hotel.
Families are well looked after, too: the Kids Club will create a dedicated programme for children.

To finish off the celebrations, we invite you to a festive farmers’ brunch from10.00 h to 13.00 h: Grisons specialities can be ordered alongside the breakfast buffet, accompanied by music.
