When Switzerland’s National Day moves to Lake Maggiore, it feels like summer, lake views and southern zest for life. On 1 August, the Hotel Eden Roc combines culinary delights, music and little surprises to create a celebration that begins in the afternoon – and continues into the evening right by the water’s edge.
Cuisine & Bar
On this day, the Marina Restaurant offers a special à la carte menu, whilst the Hotel Eden Roc’s other restaurants also serve special evening menus. In the bar, a homemade signature drink provides the perfect start – or end – to the evening.
Music by the Water
The day is accompanied by music on several occasions: at the Marina, a DJ creates a summery atmosphere from the afternoon onwards. Later, the live music moves to the waterfront – from around 17.30 h on the Pontile and from around 20.00 h on the terrace of the Eden Roc Restaurant.
For Children
The National Day is also specially organised for our younger guests. The separate children’s programme combines crafts, physical activity and playful insights into Swiss history – age-appropriate, creative and with plenty of scope for discovery.
Little surprises for our guests
Throughout the day, our guests can look forward to little surprises to mark the occasion. The new ice-cream van will also be on display in the garden, adding another summery moment to the celebrations by the lake.
