Salvatore Frequente returns to the Tschuggen Collection as Executive Chef
Zurich, (01 June 2023). As of 01 June 2023, Salvatore Frequente will become Executive Chef for the Hotel Eden Roc and the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, thus returning to the Swiss premium hotel group The Tschuggen Collection. Salvatore Frequente was already part of the Tschuggen Collection for ten years from 2009 to 2019, during which time he passed through various positions within the group. Most recently, he was head chef and executive chef at the Eden Roc Hotel, where he was responsible for the La Brezza restaurant and the reopening of the Marina restaurant. At the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz, he took care of the culinary needs of the house as head chef.
Now, the Sicilian-born executive chef is taking on a dual role at two of the Swiss premium hotel group's four properties. He will spend the summer months on Lake Maggiore at the Eden Roc Hotel, where he will be primarily responsible for the cuisine of the Eden Roc Restaurant and act as an advisory body for the further development, collaboration and administration of the kitchens. The culinary direction of the two Michelin-starred La Brezza and the Mediterranean restaurant in the lakeside La Casetta will continue to be in the hands of Marco Campanella. Marco Vastarella is furthermore responsible for the cuisine of the Marina lifestyle restaurant. In winter, Salvatore Frequente will move from 200 to 1800 metres above sea level to the Engadine in St. Moritz at the Carlton Hotel, where he will be responsible for the epicurean delights as Executive Chef.
