2nd Place for Hotel Eden Roc in “The 101 Best Hotels in Switzerland”
A great success for the Hotel Eden Roc!
The “SonntagsZeitung” supplement of the respected Zurich “Tagesanzeiger” newspaper has published its list of “101 best hotels in Switzerland”. The Hotel Eden Roc has taken an outstanding second place in the “Luxury Lake Side Resorts” category.
On March 30, 2025, the best hotels in Switzerland and the best hotels in the DACH region were honored in a total of nine categories.
On the one hand, these are the ratings given by guests on several rating portals. In addition, the awards that the hotels have received from renowned publications – such as Forbes or GaultMillau – are included in the evaluation. The third pillar is the judgments of proven experts who have inspected the hotels, tested them and evaluated them anonymously according to predefined criteria.
The various ratings are compiled by the International University of Applied Sciences in Munich (IU).
The SonntagsZeitung's hotel rating of the best hotels in Switzerland has been around for over 20 years, according to the newspaper. This year, however, the rating was carried out for the first time in collaboration with Carsten K. Rath. The hotel expert has already opened various luxury hotels himself.
