Back to old roots - in summer at the lake, in winter on the mountain

Zurich, (01 June 2023). On 1 June 2023, Salvatore Frequente will become Executive Chef for the Hotel Eden Roc and the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, returning to the Swiss premium hotel group The Tschuggen Collection.

Salvatore Frequente was already part of the Tschuggen Collection for ten years from 2009 to 2019, during which time he held various positions within the group. Most recently, he was Head Chef and Executive Chef at the Hotel Eden Roc, where he was responsible for the La Brezza restaurant and the reopening of the Marina restaurant. As head chef at the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz, he was responsible for the hotel's culinary affairs.

Now the Sicilian-born chef is taking on a dual role as Executive Chef at two of the four hotels in the Swiss premium hotel group. He will spend the summer months on Lake Maggiore at the Hotel Eden Roc, where he will be primarily responsible for the kitchen of the Restaurant Eden Roc and act as an advisory body for the further development, co-operation and administration of the kitchens. The culinary direction of La Brezza, which has been awarded two Michelin stars, and the Mediterranean restaurant in the Seehaus La Casetta will remain in the hands of Marco Campanella. Marco Vastarella is also responsible for the cuisine at the lifestyle restaurant Marina.

In winter, Salvatore Frequente will move from 200 to 1800 metres above sea level in the Engadine to the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz, where he will be responsible for the culinary delights as Executive Chef.
