But be sure to let your gaze wander to the ceiling as well—there, you’ll discover works by Massimo Listri. For 17 years, every treatment room in the spa has been adorned with his photographs, displayed on the ceiling. Listri is recognized as one of the leading photographers in the art world.

Born in Florence in 1953, Listri began his career with black-and-white portraits. Even as a student, his images were published in architecture and art magazines.

In 1982, he was one of the founders of FMR, a prestigious art magazine, where he published his work on palaces, villas, and architecture for over twenty years.

Listri has since published numerous books that are admired by art lovers across Europe and the United States. One of his most famous works is The World’s Most Beautiful Libraries, for which he visited and artistically captured these magnificent spaces with his camera.

Numerous museums have already exhibited Listri’s works

Numerous museums around the world have exhibited his works—including the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the Royal Palace of Milan, the Morgan Library & Museum in New York, the Museum of Modern Art in Bogota, and even the Vatican Museums.

And since 1982, the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz has also been home to his art. Here, art finds its home. Combine physical well-being with a truly unique cultural experience. After a long day on the slopes or hiking trails, relax with our holistic spa treatments, harnessing the healing power of nature—and enjoy Massimo Listri’s masterpieces displayed on the ceilings of our treatment rooms at the Carlton Hotel Spa.
